While on their 1966 tour of Asia, the Beatles were presented with an interesting request. The manager of the hotel they were staying at in Tokyo asked if they might create a "communal" painting, one in which all four members of the band would participate. Agreeing, John, Paul, George, and Ringo sat together around a canvas, each painting in his own corner and working inward. At the end the work was signed in a blank circle at the center of the canvas. The result was a unique, one-of-a-kind (the Beatles never attempted this again) abstract painting that today is worth millions.

In August 2003, while isAbelle A. (one of jOhn A.'s dearest friends) was visiting jOhn's home, isAbelle and jOhn dabbled in drawing and painting. The collaboration resulted in three memorable pieces. The first was an interesting sketch of John Lennon. His likeness has never been captured in quite this way before (leave it to a five year old!). The last two pieces are acrylic paintings, one entitled "The Princess and the Portal" and the other "Chinese Bug Man." The subjects of both were painted by isAbelle with jOhn stepping in afterward to paint the backgrounds.

These collaborative pieces will be shown here soon!
